It was a short run for Ben Lambin the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event finale on Tuesday. Lamb was eliminated after just four hands after being crippled against Martin Staszko on Hand #1 by virtue of losing a coin flip. The night wasn’t a total loss for Lamb, however, who posted on Twitter, “On the way to McFadden’s, then we have rented out Stoney’s. Showing up 9 o clock. Must have green shirt or personally know me to enter.”

Lamb picked up $4 million for his 10-day run in the Main Event. The 2011 WSOP Player of the Year then poked fun of his friend and fellow November Niner Phil Collins, Tweeting, “Next year, everyone is going to stare at you for 45 seconds, then limp a la Phil Collins. #whathavewedone.”

Lamb also posted a picture of the congratulatory letter given to him even though it was intended for the next Main Event champion. The one-pager began, “Congratulations on winning the 2011 WSOP Main Event. 1st place awards $8,711,956. You have already received $782,115. You will be receiving the difference, which is $7,929,841. You will also be receiving an additional amount in interest earnings of $3,691. Your total payout will be $7,933,532.”

The paper asked its holder to come to the main cage of the Rio at 2:00pm PT on Wednesday. It also asked for a photo ID as well as banking information. Lamb chided, “Wow, biggest needle ever, gave me this instead of one that said 3rd.”

A variety of pros weighed in on the Main Event, including PokerStarsfront man Daniel Negreanu, who posted, “Doh! Haha 100% right! Dang it! Wish I was there, this would be my best shot ever to win a bracelet. I have Staszko figured out big time.” Meanwhile, Matt All In At 420 Stout wished Lamb well: “Good game to @Benba Lamb in #WSOP Main Event, $4 mil should ease the pain a bit. Good luck Pius Heinz! #DrunkOnTheRail #DontAlBariMe #fb.”
