Keanu Tabali did not have to travel far to play in the 2013 WSOP Main Event, where he found himself starting Day 6 in eighth place with 68 players remaining at 5,435,000 in chips. This Las Vegas poker player has recorded over $100,000 in cashes and was destined to eclipse that total before the WSOP ended in 2013. He finished in 58th place for $123,000, ending his 2013 WSOP November Nine run.

Tabali’s biggest cash prior to the 2013 World Series of Poker Main Event was in the 2011 Main Event, when he finished in 690th place, which was good for $19,359. Tabili’s biggest cashes in 2013 came early in the year during the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza III series, when he finished third in two events for $14,720 and $13,127, respectively.

Near the end of Day 4 of the 2013 WSOP Main Event, Tabali was involved in a hand with British poker pro Rupert Elder. Elder had top two pair on a Q-T-2 flop and went all-in for his remaining 200,000 chips. Tabali who was holding bottom set, seemed to have Hollywooded this hand by tanking before calling. Elder respectably wished everyone good luck on his exit and Tabali got warned by another player at the table, Jonathan Jaffe, that, in the future, he would call the clock on him. Tabali responded to Jaffe that this was his right.

Tabali was involved in another hand on Day 5 with Yi Fang. With the blinds at 8,000/16,000, Tabali limped the button and Fang checked his option. Fang then announced, “I check blind. Give you a chance to make a mistake!” On a flop of K-Q-T, Tabali min-bet 16,000 after the action was blindly checked to him. Fang then check-raised to 32,000 while announcing, “I told you that you would make a mistake and you did!” With Tabali staring him down, Fang comically said, “Don’t look at my face, I’m not a beautiful lady, I’m an ugly man!” before Tabali called. Tabali eventually folded on what appeared to be a harmless turn, the 6c, after Fang fired out a 40,000-chip bet.
