The PocketFives Openis back! The 17th installment of the popular tournament comes your way next Thursday, September 15th and will take place on PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker site. We’ve stuck with largely the same setup as the last PocketFives Open, which took place in January on PokerStars and saw edc5036 rise to the top of the pack. As always, a P5s Open badge is up for grabs, as are added prizes worth about $3,000.

Here are the vital stats for next Thursday’s PocketFives Open:

Name: PocketFives Open (#432568496)
Date: Thursday, September 15th at 3:00pm ET
Buy-In: $22
Game Type: No Limit Hold’em
Structure: Deep Stack No Limit
Password: p5sopen

PokerStars has generously donated four seats to its ongoing World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) to the top four finishers. These will be distributed as follows:

1st Place: Ticket for WCOOP Event #52, $320 NLHE on September 22nd
2nd Place: Ticket for WCOOP Event #60, $215 NLHE on September 25th
3rd Place: Ticket for WCOOP Event #60, $215 NLHE on September 25th
4th Place: Ticket for WCOOP Event #60, $215 NLHE on September 25th

Once again, the 17th running of the PocketFives Open is already up in the PokerStars lobby and you can find it by searching for the Tournament ID #432568496. Don’t forget to enter the password p5sopen to get into the $22 buy-in community event and sign up now if you need a PokerStars account.

Besides the WCOOP tickets, plenty of other prizes will be added to the purse. Our friends at Ace Poker Solutions are donating five Leak Buster Prolicenses along with 10 Ace Poker Drills Combo Packs. These have a value of $80 and $40, respectively, and will surely improve the poker games of anyone who wins one.

Leak Buster is an add-on within Holdem Manager that identifies major holes in your game. It’s like having a poker coach at your fingertips. Ace Poker Drills consists of a suite of products that includes an Equity Trainer, a Pre-Flop Trainer, and an Odds/Outs Calculator. The Combo Packs typically run $40 and get you all three programs.

Ace Poker Solutions is also donating 10 one-month memberships to Poker Zion, a poker training site whose method of teaching is very linear. Winners of the Poker Zion memberships will get their first month and the sign-up fee on the house, a $30 value.

PocketFives will be adding 10 one-month memberships to our very own poker training site, PocketFives Training. If you aren’t familiar with PocketFives Training, it focuses solely on MTT instruction rather than trying to be all things to all people. We’ll be giving away one-month memberships and waiving the sign-up fee for 10 people, a $65 value. For those who don’t win PocketFives Training, there’s a two-day free trial available.

PocketFives will also be dishing out t-shirts and hoodies, so be on the lookout for those. We’ll be posting how you can claim each prize in the coming days in a sticky post in the Poker Community forum, but we’re thrilled to announce that we have $3,000 in added prizes courtesy of PokerStars, Ace Poker Solutions, and PocketFives.

In the meantime, if you’re feeling nostalgic, because we are, the winner of next week’s PocketFives Open will join the prestigious group of P5s Open champs. Plus, they’ll take their place on our Wall of Fame. Here are our 16 P5s Open winners so far:
