The heater for Russia’s Artur ‘marathur1’ Martirosyan continued on Thuraday as he bested the 144-entry field in Event #29-H ($5,200 NLHE Midweek Freeze) to capture the $157,426.77 first-place prize as well as his second title of the 2020 PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker.

It was just three days ago that Martirosyan defeated the newly named GGPoker ambassador Fedor Holz in heads-up play at the end of Event #17-H ($10,300 NLHE 8-Max High Roller) for a $271,790.44 payday. His current SCOOP success has arrived on the back of a stellar performance in the recently completed Poker Masters Online series where he finished with a profit of over $551,000, the fifth-highest net winnings of anyone who participated.

Finishing right behind Martirosyan was ‘pm_marke’ from the Netherlands who took home $121,869.52 as the runner-up. Ole ‘wizowizo’ Schemion found his way onto the podium, once again, finishing in third place for $94,343.47. Schemion continues to put up big numbers during this year’s series including earning the third SCOOP title of his career on May 5 in Event #16-H ($2,100 Six Max PLO) for over $111,000. Just two days later, he finished as the runner-up in Event #26-H ($2,100 Six Max NLHE) for another $84,579.

It took nearly five years but Norway’s Myrmo ‘locomi’ Espen won the second SCOOP title of his career on Thursday when he took down Event #30-H ($530 Six Max PLO w/ rebuys). Espen topped the 236-player field to collect the $89,165.94 first-place prize. ‘aaldert-92’ earned $65,828.04 as the runner-up while ‘tobbeb95’ banked $48,598.60 for finishing in third place.

Russia’s ‘fantomvmk’ knocked out the competition in the 675-player field of Event #31-H ($1,050 NLHE PKO). He pocketed $50,848.10 and the title for finishing first plus an additional $53,030.25 in bounties for a combined score of $103,878.35. ’tonn22’ took just slightly less for second place, earning $50,847.75 plus an additional $21,686.52. ‘shtoirlitz_’ earned the bronze for $31,940.89 and an additional $14,927.73.

Anatoly ‘NL_Profit’ Filatov‘s win in Event #31-Medium ($109 NLHE PKO) highlighted the other winners on Thursday while ‘bauruzito’ (Event #29-L:), ‘Sc0RPioN95’ (Event #29-M), ‘Boris1731’ (Event #30-L), ‘tsafas13’ (Event #30- M), and ‘RIGA1006’ (Event #31-L) also picked up titles.
