France’s Tristan Clemencon, affectionately known as superroger47on PocketFives, joined our online poker community in 2008 and has more than $300,000 in tracked cashes to his credit. In late 2008, Clemencon won the iPoker Network’s $250,000 Guaranteed for $55,000 after defeating an immense field of over 5,000 runners. He appeared to have entered the tournament on Titan Poker.

This member of the France poker community has also excelled in the live arena, banking $377,000 by virtue of finishing third in the Main Event of the European Poker Tour’s stop in Deauville in 2009. That tournament, held at the Casino Barriere de Deauville, attracted nearly 650 players.

Two months after his final table in Deauville, Clemencon took second in a €2,000 No Limit Hold’em event during the Paris Open of Poker in 2009 for $65,000. In late 2011, he final tabled the World Poker Tour’s event in Malta for $55,000. According to the Hendon Mob, the Frenchman has over $1 million in live tournament scores to his name. Entering the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event, Clemencon was in the top 30 on the all-time money list for France, an impressive feat.

When 51 players remained in the 2012 WSOP Main Event, Clemencon sat at #30 with a stack of 3.2 million. He sent David Kluchman packing after calling Kluchman’s all-in blind pre-flop. Kluchman, who was short and pushing with any two cards, showed 6-4 of hearts, while Clemencon, who was seated in the big blind and hadn’t looked at his cards, turned over two queens. All he could utter about his good fortune was, “Oh my god!”

The hand was not without some drama, as Kluchman picked up a heart flush draw on the flop, but it never materialized and he was sent to the rail. Clemencon stacked up another 385,000 in chips after the hand, pushing his total for the 2012 WSOP Main Event to 3.95 million.

He ended up finishing in 46th place for $156,000.
