Tournament poker is a notoriously testing business to operate in. One player who has conquered the live and online game with flair is the PokerStake player Samuel Mullur. Winning over $5.1 million at the live felt, Samuel’s victory in the 2023 GGMillion$ High Rollers Championship in The Bahamas as part of the inaugural WSOP Paradise festival earned him $2.7m and the respect of the poker world. More recently, Samuel won $1.07 million just 24 hours ago in the $10,000-entry GGMillion$ on GGPoker.

The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

What’s the song you could listen to on repeat forever?

It changes a lot but currently its Pato Shoucair and Dian – Flores de Abril (this translates to ‘April Flowers’).

What’s your favourite place to play poker and why?

The Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa in Northern Cyprus, home of the 2025 Onyx Super High Roller Series. It’s a great overall experience, from food to staff and all-round service.

If you were to be shot at dawn, what would be your last meal and drink?

Broccoli or Watermelon.

Where’s your favourite non-poker holiday destination?

Siargao, it’s an incredibly beautiful island in the Philippines.

You can play poker every day for a year or play no poker for a whole 12 months – which do you choose?

I’d play a year straight!

Who is the person you don’t have around anymore that you miss the most?

My Grandmother.

Which person would you most like to meet but never have?

Nickmercs (real name Nick Kolcheff), a streamer who I looked up to for a very long time. He gave me a lot of motivation to push for my goals.

When’s the last time life put you on tilt?

A couple weeks ago – it’s too private to share!

If you couldn’t play the WSOP Main Event next year, which family member would you put into the action in your place?

My brother, who is decently good.

What’s your best poker skill?

Being present.

And your biggest leak?

Replicating my thought process onto opponents play.

If you could make one rule change to poker, what would it be?

No sunglasses, masks, scarves or any other intentional face-covering.
