Wilson and Dwan Chase Glory in PokerStars Open

Acting as a precursor to the €5,300-entry EPT Barcelona Main Event, the $1,650 PokerStars Open has had a massive 4,333 entries and as such will pay out a top prize of €731,000 ($855,490). With just 80 players left heading into the penultimate day of action, Brock Wilson simply cannot stop cashing. Already guaranteed to win plenty of profit on his entry, Brock sits in 50th place on 1,155,000 chips.

Brock is joined in the counts by fellow PokerStake player Victoria Livschitz, though ‘Trekker’ is some way back, sitting 79th out of the 80 remaining players on just 300,000 chips. She has esteemed company down the lower end of the chipcounts, with former major title winner Maria Lampropoulos (69th on 575,000) and EPT Main Event winner Dominik Panka (61st on 805,000) both running short.

Jamie Dwan is once again crushing. Coming into Day 5 in the top 10, the British bracelet winner is a little lower at the start of Day 2, sitting in 45th place on the leaderboard, but with 1,265,000 chips, Dwan can turn that stack into a final flourish. The chip leader is Han Feng who you may remember as the player who arguably starred at the WSOP Main Event a fortnight ago. While Lucan Jumalon won the World Championship, Feng’s run from eighth of nine to the late stages was incredible and he currently sits top of the chipcounts in this event on a whopping 5,125,000 chips.
