PokerStake Legend Jeremy Ausmus Among Poker Masters Winners
PokerStake Legend Jeremy Ausmus Among Poker Masters Winners

Three more Poker Masters events concluded this week, and with Daniel Negreanu entering the arena, the action just got hotter at the PokerGO Studio at ARIA on the Las Vegas Strip. PokerStake players Jeremy Ausmus, Cherish Andrews and David Coleman were all in amongst it, with Spanish star Adrian Mateos cashing again and bubbling too as his topsy-turvy series continued.

Ausmus the King in Event #7

The seventh event of the 2026 Poker Masters series saw PokerStake seller Jeremy Ausmus reach the final table and defeat Aram Oganyan heads-up to book a victory. There were 58 total entries in the event and that meant nine players got paid. Among them, Myles Mullaly min-cashed for $26,100 as he banked another score and some vital PGT Points to keep his leaderboard hopes alive.

The same was true for Nick Palma, who finished in eighth place for a score of $34,800. His exit meant Adrian Mateos had a chance to go further ahead at the top of the leaderboard, and the Spanish legend was to take that chance. After Daniel Negreanu (7th for $39,150) and his fellow PokerStake seller Cherish Andrews (below, 5th for $65,250) both exited, Mateos cashed for $87,000, falling just short of the podium places.

Third place went to the former WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen, who bowed out short of heads-up with a score of $121,800, before Aram Oganyan got close to glory. Jeremy Ausmus had the lead when the duel began but lost it over a rollercoaster period where both men swapped the lead on multiple occasions. Eventually, Jeremy’s rivered straight won against Oganyan’s trip fours and a couple of hands later, the PGT Championship freeroll winner from last year claimed victory.

Keith Lehr Takes Poker Masters Event #8

The latest PokerGO Tour Poker Masters event to finish in Sin City saw mixed games specialist Keith Lehr win the $277,200 top prize in the $15,000-entry Event #8, outlasting legends like Nick Seward, Sam Soverel and Nick Palma to rack up his first PGT title of 2026. British WSOP bracelet winner Jamie Dwan bubbled the event as the English pro missed out on the money, losing to Nick Palma who once again reached the money.

Only eight players made a profit in the event, as Jeremy Ausmus followed up his win in Event #7 with a cash of $33,600 in eighth place, before Vegas player Daniyal Gheba also won $33,600 in seventh. PokerGO favorite Sam Soverel busted in fifth place for $67,200 before Nick Seward missed out in fourth for $84,000.

Justin Vaysman, who won Event #6 after coming back from having just a quarter of a big blind, cashed in third place for $117,600, before Lehr took on Latvian Vitalijs Zavorotnijs heads-up. Zavorotnijs made a Broadway straight on the turn but lost to Lehr’s rivered full house as the PLO legend went past $6m in tournament results with a victory that adds another major title to the two WSOP bracelets he won in 2003 and 2015.

Mateos Bubbles Event #9 as Kid Poker Leads Final Seven

In Event #9, Nick Palma was chasing Mateos hard in second spot on the series leaderboard. But the New Yorker couldn’t make the money, missing out by two places when he moved all-in with ace-queen on a board showing Jh3d2d2s. Daniel Negreanu called with pocket sixes and not only faded the six outs Palma was chasing on the river, but landed the six to make a full house.

The Spanish leaderboard pacesetter Adrian Mateos bubbled his fifth event out of nine he’s played this series, missing out on the money and a chance to increase his lead. The $26,000-entry Event #9 welcomed 50 total entries, with Mateos bubbling the event after getting short and shoving jack-four and being overtaken by the ten-three held by Matthew Wantman.

After PokerStake’s David Coleman lost a coinflip, seven remained, with Negreanu leading the way on 2,205,000 chips. The Canadian legend and Poker Hall of Famer was followed in the counts by Nick Seward (1,700,000) and Daniyal Gheba (1,120,000), with PokerStake seller Brandon Wilson on 755,000 chips a short way back.

The Poker Masters Purple Jacket race is a mighty close one with two events yet to conclude. Adrian Mateos leads with 451 PGT Points, Nick Palma is closest on 407 points, and Vitalijs Zavorotnijs follows on 365 points, with Joey Weissman (338 points) and Justin Vaysman followed by Jeremy Ausmus (321 points) and Myles Mulally (295 points).

Event #9 may yet be pivotal, and if Negreanu can win it, then he’ll put himself in the leaderboard picture too.
