PokerStake Players Fill Final Table in Poker Masters Event #3

The 2026 Poker Masters continued in Las Vegas last week as several PokerStake players made the latter stages of the third event of the series. While Joey Weissman won the third event of the series for a top prize of $218,400, he was joined in the final table shootout with three PokerStake players, all of whom bagged profit for their stakers on the site.

Another Bumper Field in Latest PokerGO Event

There were 78 total entries in the third event of the 2026 Poker Masters, with Adrian Mateos an unfortunate bubble boy in 13th place. The drama player of the opening three events, the Spanish poker legend bubbled the opening event with pocket aces. In Event #2, Mateos got almost all the way to victory, falling at the final hurdle when Nick Palma sealed his debut PGT win.

In the third event of the series, Mateos was the fall guy once more. All-in with AsKh, he lost to Michael Rossitto’s Js9s when a board of Jc9d3s5dTc completed two pair for the American as Mateos slid out of contention for no reward. Inside the money places, Darren Rabinowitz min-cashed for $19,500 in 12th place, before Nick Seward cashed for the second time in three events, this time for $23,400 in 11th.

After departures for both Jesse Lonis (10th for $23,400) and Myles Mullaly (8th for $31,200), the final table of seven were led by Jeremy Ausmus. It was Shannon Shorr who took out Michael Rossitto in seventh place, as pocket jacks beat ace-five to eliminate his fellow American for $31,200.

Ausmus Ousted as Gheba Gets Greedy

Six players started the final day with chips, and no-one had more than PokerStake legend Jeremy Ausmus. Sadly for the 2025 PGT Championship Freeroll champion and multiple WSOP bracelet winner, everything went wrong for him at the final table and he bowed out in sixth place. The third event of the 2026 Poker Masters enjoyed 78 entries with a dozen players cashing.

Adrian Mateos was bubble boy again as the Spaniard, who was runner-up in Event #2, lost out with ace-king in Event #3 before players such as Darren Rabinowitz (12th for $19,500), Nick Seward (11th for $23,400), Jesse Lonis (10th for $23,400) and Event #1 winner Myles Mullaly (8th for $31,200) all busted.

Jeremy Ausmus took control of the final table before the final day but when six came back, he was the first to go, leaving with $39,000 when he lost a big pot to pocket jacks, then emptied the clip with ten-nine only to bow out to the eventual winner Weissman’s ace-queen.

Brock Wilson
Brock Wilson was one of a number of PokerStake players to make the final table.

Linde and Wilson Bust Late

Another PokerStake great Dylan Linde left in fifth place for $54,600 when his pocket queens ran into Daniyal Gheba’s pocket kings, and Gheba scored a hat-trick of PokerStake hero eliminations when his queen-ten got the better of Brock Wilson’s jack-seven when Wilson (above) was short-stacked, one of the form players of 2026 cashing for $74,100 in fourth place.

Shannon Shorr left the party in third place for $101,400 when Weissman’s ace-nine dominated his queen-nine to defeat and heads-up, that gave Weissman a lead of 6:1 in chips. Las Vegas player Daniyal Gheba has enjoyed some terrific results over recent years but couldn’t quite add another title, his Qs3s losing to Weissman’s Qc8c as the latter claimed the top prize of $218,400 and his latest PGT title in Las Vegas.
