PokerStake Quintet Aim for Greatness at New Triton One Festival in Jeju

Jeju in South Korea is the destination for the Triton One festival, which aims to bring lower stakes players into the hallowed halls of fame usually reserved for those playing high roller or super high roller events around the world. The Triton Poker Series now offers events with buy-ins between $2,000 and $10,000 via the Triton One tour and five PokerStake players will be travelling to the Far East to take on all comers in the tournament series.

Stephen Song Hunts Glory

Landing Casino in the South Korean province of Jeju is located within Jeju Shinwa World and next month will welcome players from all over the world to a series of tournaments that could grow the Triton Poker brand even further around the world. One player who is equally comfortable at super high roller and high roller stakes as well as mid-range MTTs is the PokerStake crusher, Stephen Song.

Just last week we spoke with Stephen about his forthcoming return to Barcelona where his victory in the 20th anniversary Main Event in 2024 earned him a record tournament score of $1,425,651 in his career. Stephen won’t be hanging around in the Catalan city of culture, dashing off to South Korea to conquer the Triton One series too.

Stephen is selling to Event #5, a $10,000-entry Mystery Bounty tournament, and Event #9, the first $10,000 High Roller on the ticket. At a markup of between 1.08 and 1.13, the tournament crusher represents huge value in these fields and with the high-stakes series returning for a full fortnight in Jeju immediately following the Triton One series, he is likely to remain in South Korea to take on the world’s elite players too… after all, he’s one of them.

Vierling Goes for Victory

Another player looking to take great form into the Triton One series is the German tournament specialist Jessica Vierling. A regular at stakes of between $200-$500 up to last year, Vierling’s stakes have been raised more often since she won $328,273 and the WSOP Circuit Ring in the $1,700 Main Event at the Commerce Casino in May 2024.

Since her biggest ever tournament win, Jessica has turned to crushing events with buy-ins that average four figures instead of three and has consistently posted great results. In 2025 alone, Jessica has cashed an incredible 24 times in ranking tournaments and five of those results came at the recent World Series of Poker.

Jessica also came second in the $1,600-entry Venetian DeepStack Championship for a score of $159,480, only falling heads-up against Joshua Reichard and outlasting players such as Brian Hastings, Andrew Moreno and Brian Luo in the late stages of that event. With over $220,000 in tournament winnings since June 1, Jessica is selling action to Events #1, #2, #3 and #8 already at a 1.10 markup across the board. Don’t miss out.

Chen in Charge?

Another high stakes legend looking to take advantage of his edge in the Far East is David Chen. The American, who won his biggest tournament poker cash of his career just six weeks ago in the $25k Wynn Summer Classic high roller, winning $260,000 in second place, also finished 3rd in the WSOP $25k Heads-Up Championship for $180,000 in an incredible summer.

In fact, David has won over $1.1 million in the past three months alone, proving that 2025 is a major breakout year for him. He’s more than doubled his career poker earnings across a dream summer in Las Vegas and Tallinn, Estonia, where his third-place finish in this month’s Bombay Anniversary Invitational was worth $142,226 and saw him outlast players such as Aleks Ponakovs and Morten Klein inside the money places.

David is selling to virtually every event on the Triton One schedule and with markup between 1.00 (no markup) and 1.25, you’ll need to get in quick and check out David’s tournament schedule to make your best pick of the value on offer. Given his recent form, David is a great bet to make big profits on his trip to the Far East.

Chang and Mao Playing the Odds

Two more players who have cashed for over $2.6m each in live tournament poker events take to the Triton felt in Jeju in early September. Nevan Chang is another poker star who has enjoyed a stellar summer, finishing fourth in the $1,000-entry Super Turbo Event #100 to round off his WSOP with a cash worth $84,733. Nevan has cashed in a number of events in South Korea so far in 2025, and is selling to Events #3, #5 and #15 at markup of between 1.03 and 1.05 – great value for a player bound to crush.

Finally, Renji ‘Ricky’ Mao could hardly be travelling to South Korea in better form. Ricky ticked past the $3m mark in terms of ranking poker tournament cashes over the summer, registering results in 17 different Las Vegas events from the end of May to mid-July. This astonishing run featured a fourth-place finish in the $5,000-entry 8-Max Event #3 which was won by Antonio Galiana, where Ricky outlasted players such as Michael ‘Texas Mike’ Moncek and Uri Reichenstein late on.

Ricky is selling to Events #1, #3, #7, #8 and #15 at a markup of between 1.05 and 1.30 as he bids to extend an excellent August in South Korea, where he has already cashed six times on the Asian Poker Tour for over $43,000.
