The World Poker Tour Borgata Poker Open was recently at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey. It’s always a very popular, well-attended series that draws in poker players from all over. Zach Gruneberg, one of the top players on the Pennsylvania poker all-time money list, was one of them.
In February, the Dominican Republic’s Alberto Meranwon the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up following a five-way deal. He blasted through a field of almost 2,900 entrants en route to a $74,000 score, as the tournament beat its guarantee by 14%. His payday was the largest given out by about $20,000.
Earlier this month, Zachary HustlerGruneGruneberg (pictured) was part of a four-way chop of the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up for $47,000. More so than the money, a chop in one of the biggest tournaments of the week marked another milestone in his courageous journey from the depths of addiction.
