On Wednesday, our free, US-friendly online poker league at TexasHoldem.comreturns! We had an excellent showing in May, with PocketFiver jp1979 taking down the overall leaderboard and earning $200 in cash.

We’re happy to announce that PocketFives’ online poker league for US players is coming back! It has been a couple of years, but our free league returns this Wednesday, May 6, to TexasHoldem.com. Games will take place every Wednesday at 9:00pm Eastern Time and over $1,000 in cash will be given away every month.

On Wednesday, Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT, pictured) reintroduced legislation to ban internet gambling in the United States, presumably at the behest of Las Vegas Sands CEO Sheldon Adelson. A press conference was held at 11:00am Eastern Time for Chaffetz to trumpet his latest attack on our industry.

The free PocketFives League on NLOP, which welcomes US players, returns for a new month on Tuesday, August 5. We’re hitting the reset button on the standings, so everyone will be on equal footing, and there’s no cost to play. NLOP is giving out a total of $500 in cash to the top five finishers.
