Timothy Finne (highlandfox) Second in PCA Main Event After Day 1B

In July, Timothy highlandfoxFinne (pictured) took down the Full Tilt PokerSunday Brawl and banked $90,000. One year prior, he was off to the races in the PokerStarsSunday 500 for $94,000 in his largest cash tracked by PocketFives.com. Lest we forgot that Finne is also a UB.comOnline Championship, or UBOC, titleholder and one of the top ten players in the state of New Jersey. In the 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event, Finne bagged up the second largest stack after Day 1B on Sunday at 225,100.

The Day 1B field is looking up at Walid Bou-Habib, who amassed a stack of 239,000 after one day of play. Also dominating on the second of two starting days was Casey bigdogpckt5s Jarzabek (pictured), who flopped a set of fives not once, not twice, but three times. In one of the final hands of the evening, Jarzabek flopped a set with pocket fives only to watch another five hit on the river for four of a kind. His opponent held pocket aces for a flopped set that turned into boat and Jarzabek doubled through. He owns the 21st largest stack after Day 1B at 154,300.

Bracelet winner Carter Bdybldngpkrplyr Phillips (pictured) was the victim of a slow roll on Sunday. He bet out on the river with J-10 on a board reading 7-9-J-J-K for trips and an opponent put in slightly more than a min-raise. Phillips called and coverage found on PokerNews detailed what happened next: “Seat 4 didn’t show his cards right away, giving the impression that he was beat, so Carter flipped his J-10 assuming he was good. Seat 4 then revealed Q-10 for a rivered straight. The slowroll clearly did not sit well with Carter and he was visibly upset.” Phillips did not survive to see Day 2 today.

Ryan g0lfa D’Angelo, who took fifth in last year’s PCA Main Event to the tune of $700,000, was bumped after 3betting all-in before the flop with 7-6 of hearts. An opponent called with pocket queens and the board came a rather uneventful J-J-2-5-A.

Finally, former WPT Player of the Year Jonathan FieryJustice Little (pictured) was bounced from the PCA Main Event as part of a three-way all-in. On a flop of 8-8-6, the chips hit the middle, with Little holding pocket queens and opponents tabling 8-3 and pocket nines. Little found no help when the board filled out J-5 and the hand ended his Main Event run.

This year’s PCA Main Event field numbered 1,560 players, which is 31 more than last year and marks the largest group ever for the $10,000 buy-in tournament. The top spot will pay out $2.3 million and four players will bank at least seven-figures. The top 232 places on the leaderboard will land in the money and a minimum payout of $15,000 is up for grabs. The final table with hole cards airs on Saturday on ESPN3.com and ESPN2 beginning at 5:00pm ET and 10:00pm ET, respectively. Here are the top 10 chip stacks after Day 1B:
