What’s Happening in the Third Week of the 2025 World Series?

The third week of the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) features 17 events with buy-ins ranging from just $500 all the way up to the biggest single-entry fee for an event this summer, $250,000. There are events taking place at the Horseshoe and Paris casinos in Las Vegas in No Limit Hold’em, Limit Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha, H.O.R.S.E., Omaha Hi-Lo and Seven Card Stud. With everything from freezeouts to turbos, Razz to High Rollers, the third week of the 56th annual WSOP has something for every player.
Bumper Week for No Limit Fans
If you’re a fan – or player – who loves No Limit Hold’em, then this is the week for you. Monday kicks off the action with a trio of 8-Max Hold’em events, starting with the $800 Deepstack at 10am, and followed by the $50,000 High Roller at high noon and $1,500 Limit Hold’em event at 2pm.
On Tuesday, the action ramps up a notch in the Super Turbo Bounty event, which has a $1,500-entry and $500 bounty attached to each player. A NLHE Freezeout on Tuesday costs $3,000 to play, while Wednesday offers a $1,500 Monster Stack and $100,000 High Roller, both in NLHE.
The Seniors High Roller costs $5,000 to play and begins on Thursday, while the $500 Salute to Warriors welcomes the ‘weekend warriors’ to the felt on Saturday. That’s the same day that the $250,000 Super High Roller Event #46 kicks off at noon.
Which PokerStake Players are Taking on the Super High Roller?
Paying a quarter of a million dollars to take part in a poker tournament is huge news and several PokerStake players will be doing so. Jeremy Ausmus told us as the WSOP kicked off that he was selling to this event and for a markup of just 1.04, he is extraordinary value. Ausmus’ recent record in high rollers and at the WSOP is second to literally none and he will enter that event as one of the favorites to win, let alone cash.
Brandon Wilson is playing the same event at a markup pf 1.05, while Chance Kornuth was at 1.10, but has sold out not one but two bullets. David Coleman also has two bullets on sale and a little of that action is left, with his markup at 1.04. Justin Saliba (also 1.04) is in the mix, while superstar Kristen Foxen (below) is sure to attract a lot of attention, selling two bullets at 1.01 and 1.02, with just 10% of each bullet on sale.
Finally, David Chen has got off to a great start to the 56th annual WSOP and is selling at no markup with 20% of his $250,000 ($50,000) up for grabs. Chen has already won $180,000 this WSOP for finishing in the semifinals of the $25,000 Heads-Up Championship, an event he sold 20% of on PokerStake, selling at a rate of 1.06. To buy an in-form player at no markup is astonishing value – don’t miss out.

Mixed Games Back on the Menu
For mixed games, this week could be pivotal in pushing some of the world’s finest mixed format players to the top of the WSOP Player of the Year leaderboard. As you’ll no doubt have seen, Benny Glaser has rocketed to the top of that chart after the PokerStake player won not one but two WSOP bracelets inside a week. He told us all about how he did it right here.
The 8-Max PLO Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship kicks off on Tuesday and features a $10,000 entry fee as one of the ‘Championship’ series of events that pepper the WSOP schedule. There are several 8-Max events this week and another takes place from Wednesday as the $1,500-entry H.O.R.S.E. event begins. There’s 8-Max Limit Hold’em ($10,000) and PLO ($1,000) kicking off on Thursday and Friday respectively, while the $1,500 Razz starts on Friday as well.
With the $10,000 buy-in Big O Championship (Five Card PLO Hi-Lo 8 or Better) starting on Saturday and $2,500-entry 8-Max Omaha Hi-Lo 8 & Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 Mix event beginning on Sunday, everyone is catered for during a week where the most successful players could win life-changing six or seven-figure money.
