The latest Triton Poker Series tour event takes place in Jeju, South Korea. Featuring dozens of events and millions of dollars in guarantees, the series represents a prime opportunity for elite professionals to capture a Triton ‘trident’ trophy, along with the rich rewards that come with winning an event on the series. Frequented by business legends, millionaire recreational players and elite poker sharks, Triton events are unique, and Jeju is sure to bring the drama when play begins on September 4^th.

Teusling for Titles

There are 14 Triton Jeju events this September, numbered #1 – #16 with the exception of #4 and #14. The first event kicks off on September 4^th at 1.01pm local time, while the final day of September 17^th features the concluding day of the $150,000 entry 10^th Anniversary Special event at 12 noon, and a $30,000 NLHE Turbo Event #16 that begins at 4pm.

The events come with money for the winners, but more than the financial remuneration is the sheer cache that arrives with it. Winning a Triton event can propel any top professional onto even greater heights. Even legends like Jason Koon, already a fine player with WSOP bracelet wins and millions in the bank from poker has seen his career elevated by becoming a 12-time Triton event winner.

Could a breakout player come through with a landmark victory for PokerStake? Jessica Teusl will certainly hope so. Coleman Cruising Again

David Coleman is selling a very full package to this year’s Triton Jeju series, with Events #1, #2, #3, #5, #6, #7, #8 and #11 all on sale. Selling action at between 1.08 and 1.19 in terms of markup, David is a great investment to win money again, not least because of his recent form.

Over the past few years, David has risen from being a solid profit-making professional into one of the most feared and respected poker players in the game. Currently 88^th on the All-Time Money List at the age of just 32, David has won over $18.5 in ranking live tournaments alone.

Taking part in the K Poker Cup in Jeju between July and August, David cashed an incredible six times, reaching five final tables and coming second in two events. Overall, he took home over $607,000 from the fortnight’s trip, and he’ll be looking to win just as consistently when he leaves Barcelona and returns to Jeju in a week’s time.

Vlad’s Time to Shine?

Lithuanian PokerStake player Vladas Tamasauskas comes into the latest Triton Poker Series as a wildcard of sorts, with much of his previous experience coming in mainland Europe. Vlad’s results speak for themselves, however. Having cashed nine times in Las Vegas during a superb run this summer, Vlad won over $253,000 in tournament earnings.

After Las Vegas and the World Series of Poker, Vlad travelled to Estonia, where he took part in the WSOP Circuit series in Tallinn. Two cashes both came at final tables, where Vlad came seventh then fifth to bag another $18,700 in cashes. From there, Vlad packed his suitcase and headed to Spain where two more cashes on the European Poker Tour in Barcelona earned over $17,400, as his pattern of success continued.

Now heading to Jeju, South Korea, Vlad is aiming for success, and we rate his chances incredibly highly. Selling at no markup at all to Events #2, #3, #5, #6, #7 and #12 and when those events range from between $26,500 and $106,000 in their entry fees, that tells you just how much belief Vlad has in his game right now. He’s absolutely right to have that belief and we think he could something very special in Jeju.
