The European Poker Tour returns to action in August and with a fortnight to go until cards are in the air, several PokerStake player are already advertising action. Who can you back to go and win big in Europe in the Spanish former capital of culture? We break down each player’s summer and how they add value to your upcoming investments.

A Return to Barcelona

The EPT took its standard hiatus during the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas as the brand look to fill two of the biggest shoes in poker. After dropping the mic for the last time on the EPT in Spring, Joe ‘Stapes’ Stapleton made the switch to the World Series of Poker, meaning Stapes will be front and center in The Bahamas this winter rather than taking a trip overseas to Europe.

That doesn’t mean several PokerStake legends aren’t heading out to Barcelona in Spain without high hopes, however, as players look to win big in 79 events (including hyper and turbos). The €5,300 Main Event is obviously the event that everyone wants to win and came with a $1.5m top prize in 20205. PokerStake player Stephen Song is among the former winners of the event and while Stephen is yet to confirm his action for Barcelona this time around, several players have done so.

The events kick off on August 16 and continue right through to August 29 for the most dedicated of players. With a vibrant nightlife in the bustling European city, along with superb restaurants, the EPT Barcelona festival may well be a happy hunting ground for PokerStake players all over again, so let’s find out which ones are playing.

Brock and Cherish Head East

Both Brock Wilson and partner Cherish Andrews have been stars of the felt on Stateside already in 2026 and we see no reason why poker’s most prominent poker couple along with Alex and Kristen Foxen can’t win huge in Barcelona. Brock in particular had an amazing WSOP in Las Vegas, coming 16^th in the Main Event for a score of $410,475 as well as cashing another four times to return over $500,000 across the series in total.

Cherish has enjoyed the best half-year of her career so far and while she cashed just three times in Vegas, her record before the WSOP where she maxxed volumed in high roller events shows exactly what she’s capable of. In Barcelona, Cherish is selling to nine events already, with value all across those chosen tournaments. As an example, Cherish is selling 11% of her action in the €20,000 buy-in NLHE Event #17, and at a markup of only 1.06, and is – in our opinion – way underpriced.

Brock is selling to four events currently, with a buy-in spread of between €20,000 and €100,000. Again, his chosen markup for the events is very low given the incredible year at the felt he’s had, and we’d encourage you to back him in any of the events, paying particular attention to the Super High Roller Warm-Up, otherwise known as Event #23, where Brock is selling two bullets at a markup of 1.05 and 1.06.

Other Big Names Selling Spanish Action

Four more PokerStake stars already have action on sale to EPT Barcelona, starting with Chris Hunichen. ‘Big Huni’ is selling to just one event right now, but it’s the €100,000-entry Event #28 (at a markup of 1.10), otherwise known as the Super High Roller. Hunichen’s record in SHR events is more than impressive, even beating his fellow PokerStake player Jeremy Ausmus to the title in memorable scenes in Las Vegas in recent years.

David Coleman is offering small percentages to events such as the €100,000 Super High Roller Event #28, the €30,000 SHR Warm-Up Event #23 and Event #17, the €20,000-entry NLHE event. We love David’s chances in Event #21 most of all, however, where he is selling action at a super-cheap 1.08 markup in the €25,000 buy-in NLHE event.

Finally, two other big names sure to offer big value are Justin Saliba and Kyosuke Nagami. The American pro Saliba only has 1.2% left of the 10% he’s selling to Event #17 at just 1.07 markup, while there is 4.5% remaining of the 5% he’s selling to Event #28. Meanwhile, the Japanese player Nagami is prime poker player real estate in Event #6, the €5,200 Six-Max NLHE event. Selling at 1.13, Nagami’s recent record is legendary, after he came 23^rd in the 2026 WSOP Main Event, as well as cashing deep in two more 6-Max events.
