Who Can You Back to Win Big in Barcelona This Month?

The return of the European Poker Tour this month pits some of the world’s best players against each other in high roller events, mixed game formats and of course the €5,300-entry EPT Barcelona Main Event. Won last year by PokerStake player Stephen Song, a dozen players from the site will travel to the Catalonia region of Spain this summer to play for millions of dollars. We’ve got the pick of the crop and what packages they’re selling.
Champions in Attendance
We spoke to the reigning EPT Barcelona Main Event champion Stephen Song earlier this week about how much he’s looking forward to defending his title at Casino Barcelona. Stephen is selling to Events 12, 14 and 17 so far, with an average buy-in of €25,000 and a markup of between 1.10 and 1.14 but admitted to us that he’s likely to add other events further down the line.
Brock Wilson is another big-name American who is sure to grab the attention of buyers. Brock is selling to the exact same events as Stephen, at a markup of between 1.12 and 1.16 and after a hugely successful WSOP summer, could be a terrific investment. With 11 cashes at the 2025 WSOP and results worth a collective $780,000, Brock will be a favorite to cash at least two or three times and lives and breathes the high roller action.
The French professional Antoine Saout has made a career out of winning very big. The former third-placed player at the WSOP Main Event of 2009 for $3.47 million has won seven ranking titles in a glittering poker career that has yielded results worth $10.2 million. Saout is selling to Event #6, the €10,200-entry Mystery Bounty event at a markup of 1.07 and Event #55 (€10,300) at a markup of 1.27 for bullet #1 and 1.25 for the second bullet if required.
Fierce Females in Action
Selling fast, two female players are sure to star in the Spanish city of Barcelona, with both Cherish Andrews and Victoria Livschitz selling to multiple events. Cherish has already sold out of action to Event #6 and Event #26, the Main Event, but has plenty more events up for sale and is one of several players who are offering unmissable action at EPT Barcelona.
With Pot Limit Omaha, No Limit Hold’em and KO Cuatro events all on her ticket. The Global Poker Award winner for Best Female Player has enjoyed a stellar run in recent years, with over $3.5m in live ranking results. Specifically this summer, Cherish cashed seven times at the 2025 World Series of Poker and came second in The Wynn Summer Classic for just under $100,000, easily her biggest return on investment of the last few months.
Victoria Livschitz began her poker journey during COVID, as we found out when we spoke to ‘Trekker’ about her phenomenal career last year. The passionate mountain climber has a raft of events on sale on her page – all at no markup – including events where she has a huge edge such as the €3,250 Seniors High Roller and Event #1, the PokerStars Open, where her big field MTT experience is sure to come to the fore. Selling to high rollers and the Main Event too, Livschitz could be due a very deep run after her work co-forming Octopi Poker and her recent success at the live felt.
Other Players to Watch
Austrian poker pro Adi Radjkovic has kept his focus on Europe this summer, cashing in Poland, Belgium, Ireland and – perhaps most importantly – Spain since the end of April. Deep runs in both the Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event and EPT Barcelona Main Event in the same series in recent years have helped Radjkovic carve out quite the European reputation and nearing a million dollars in ranking earnings, we think this could be the time it happens. Selling to multiple events at a markup of between 1.04 and 1.25, Radjkovic offers great value, and his last five cashes have all come in NLHE.
David Chen comes into the EPT Barcelona festival on the back of his best WSOP Summer yet. Reaching the final four in the $25,000 Heads-Up Event #7 for $180,000, Chen then followed up on that result with a double-your-money finish in a $50,000 event, a fourth place in an ARIA High Roller worth $124,000 and a runner-up result worth $260,000 in the $25,800 Wynn Summer Classic High Roller. Chen is on fire right now and will sell quickly to the mix of high rollers and super high rollers that he’s playing.
With Kyosuke Nagami, Michel Molenaar and Timo Kamphues all selling to multiple events at EPT Barcelona too, the action of Norwegian Jon Kyte will also attract a lot of attention. Kyte operated like a superstar in Las Vegas this summer, cashing eight times for over $225,000 in those events that cost a little over $70,000, tripling his investment and paying out to shrewd investors on PokerStake.
Kyte has real star quality and is on the verge of his latest major result, having won over $300,000 in three separate results between December 2023 and this April, the biggest of which being an EPT Main Event runner-up result worth $692k in Prague. Winning the PokerStars Open in Monte Carlo just over three months ago for $387k has put Kyte right up there in terms of form players across the world and while he is only selling to the Main Event and one high roller, he’s got a great chance of a very deep run in both of them.
